Food truck, drinks, and music from the PickPockets at Hilltop Athletic Association
-21+ event only- Save the date! Join friends and community for an evening of fun, food, drinks, and live music! We’ll have a cash bar, a donated dessert table, and the South Shore Smokehouse food truck providing a la carte food. Located at the Hilltop Athletic Association in Kingston. The PickPockets will be jamming your favorite rock and pop songs from the 60s to the 90s and beyond for all to enjoy! Can’t wait to see you there!
4th Annual Kids Parade
It’s official! The Heather Bone O’Shaughnessy Kids Parade Fundraiser is back and bigger than ever. This fun family event will be held Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 10AM-2PM at Taylor Field behind Alden School and the Duxbury Free Library.
Families can join together to decorate bikes (or scooters, strollers, wagons etc.) for the kids parade around Alden school, partake in a multitude of lawn games, enjoy fun activities including face painting, patriotic tattoos, oyster shell art, a dance party with the fabulous DJ Dee, feed some animals at the Petting Zoo and so much more. There will be free snacks, food for purchase from Chestnut St Grille, and a visit from the beloved J’s ice cream truck.

The HBF Kids Parade tradition was started by Heather in 2020 (during Covid) when the Town 4th of July parade was cancelled. She aimed to ensure her children and those in her neighborhood experienced the same joy and magic surrounding her favorite holiday, town parade or not. In May 2021, Heather passed away suddenly, just days after giving birth to her third child. Her friends, family, and neighbors have helped keep this tradition alive since her passing by continuing and celebrating the kids parade as a fun way to honor her life, her love for children, and as a key fundraising event for the Heather Bone Foundation.
HBF was established in 2022 to amplify Heather’s legacy by celebrating her and the way she vivaciously lived life each day. The Foundation partners with local charities by providing grants to family and child-focused nonprofits helping to empower their missions to make a difference in kids’ lives who have experienced loss and trauma.
They are honored to announce The Magical Moon Farm and Foundation in Marshfield, MA as the 2024 grant recipient. Their mission is to nurture and empower children with cancer and other life-threatening conditions, along with their families, by teaching healthy ways to deal with challenges and stress.

Barre class benefit and family brunch
Join us for a Barre benefit class starting at 10AM-11AM followed by a family brunch at ICO down by the water. Island Creek generously donated the space for us to use and host the class and brunch. Hope to see you there!
Yacht Rock Revue Concert - Boston @Leader Bank Pavilion
With generous support from the band, we have been offered a block of tickets at a discount which we can resell to support the Foundation and have an evening of fun with classic covers of your favorite Yacht Rock tunes from the 70s and 80s. I was lucky enough to meet YRR when they played in a basement bar in Atlanta at the beginning of their career—the above picture I took in 2009.
Third Annual July Kids Parade
Join us for the third annual Meetinghouse Loop kids parade on Saturday July 1 - Heather started this tradition during the pandemic in 2020 when the town cancelled the parade to give the kids something to have fun for the 4th weekend. We now continue this tradition in her honor and is our summer kickoff fundraising event for the Foundation.
Duxbury Kids’ Parade
Heather started the kids parade during COVID and intended to keep it going, so we will use the third annual Duxbury Kids Parade to serve as the kickoff event for her Foundation.
Come join other families and friends for a parade around Meetinghouse Road-decorate the kids’ bikes and scooters and get ready for a steel drum band, a Grilled Cheese Food Truck and the ever popular J’s Ice Cream Truck. Hope to see you there!
