The HBF Foundation is proud to announce Comfort Zone Camp as the recipient of our 2025 grant.

Comfort Zone Camp is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping grieving children heal, grow, and live fuller lives. Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, Comfort Zone Camp offers free programs in 13 states, including locally here in Massachusetts. Through trust-building activities and age-based support groups—both in-person and virtual—these programs help break the emotional isolation that grief can create.

This May, Comfort Zone Camp will host a weekend program at Camp Burgess in Bourne, MA, serving children ages 7–18 who have experienced the loss of a parent, guardian, sibling, or friend. Several members and supporters of the HBF Foundation will be volunteering at the camp, helping create a space where children can process their grief and connect with others who truly understand.

We are honored to support Comfort Zone Camp in their mission to bring comfort, healing, and hope to children—both across the country and right here in our own community.

The Magical Moon Foundations goal is to nurture and empower children with cancer and other life-threatening conditions and their families by teaching healthy ways to deal with challenges and stress.

In 2024, HBF awarded Magical Moon $48,000 to help further their mission by funding their summer programs and supporting their animal therapy program.

Hope Floats is a bereavement and educational center for adults, children, teens, and their families who are grieving, dealing with illness, or facing other life challenges. Their free support services bring hope and healing to those in need.

As our 2023 grant recipient, HBF was proud to grant Hope Floats $25,000.

Empower is an international nonprofit on a mission to empower, support, and connect children and young adults up through age 24 who have experienced the loss of a parent.

As our inaugural 2022 grant recipient, HBF was proud to grant Empower $14,000.
